Dr. Terry Gaasterland
Tuesdays 3 pm to 6 pm
Hubbs Hall 3300

The course will focus on three areas. The first is an introduction to commonly used bioinformatics tools with a focus on understanding how they work and how to use them strategically. Second, students will practice using tools to become familiar with their strengths and limitations. The third area will be to consider tools in the context of real data. This year's special topic will be the International HapMap Project as an example of intraspecies genomic polymorphism.
