SIO 296 - Readings in Genomics I: Genome
Analysis Principles and Datasets

The course will focus on three areas. The first is an introduction to
commonly used bioinformatics tools with a focus on understanding how they
work and how to use them strategically. Second, students will practice
using tools to become familiar with their strengths and limitations. The
third area will be to consider tools in the context of real data.
This year's special topic will be the International HapMap Project as an
example of intraspecies genomic polymorphism.
